I have posted this on the CA board but have not gotten responses and since I would be willing to travel for the best LLMD I thought I would post here.

To me the best is someone who has successfully treated many people, someone who has at least 3 patients who have been well for 3+ years.

It also seems that people who have successfully gotten better went to someone strictly Burrascano.

It was suggested I post with specific states but really I have no idea. I just want to find a great LLMD who goes by Burrascano who will get me better.

As long as the LLMD will see out of state patients I am interested. If things get bad enough maybe I'll even move, though I'd rather not.

I have had frustrating experiences with where I'm going and am thinking I should find someone new.

Thank you for your thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks littlebit for the pm. I received similar general info this summer but lost it so it is a really good refressure. I will check on some of the links.

I have been going to the office of an LLMD near San Diego (seeing her LLNP) for 4 months now and finally got to see the LLMD last week.

Before I went to this office I asked if they went by Burrascano and they said yes.

But later when I asked in an appointment the LLNP told me they use it as a reference.

Lots of people in the support group like this LLMD but they are all still sick.

I have had no improvement and the appointment was very confusing.

I left with incomplete info for labs, meds, supps, and a week later have not been able to start anything because I haven't heard a response regarding things that should have been covered during the appointment.

In addition people kept interrupting the appointment A LOT and with brain fog this is no good.

There were a lot of other things I wasn't happy about but basically it comes down to me being sick for 2 years, diagnosed 6 months ago, waiting for 4 to see this LLMD and feeling like NOTHING is happening. Meanwhile the lyme just burrows away.

My first appointment ever with an LLMD basically sucked!!! Maybe my expectations are too high that I'm paying money for someone to treat me.

A staff even told me in response to me saying something about people interrupting for everything from discussing other patients during my appointment to reminding the LLMD to eat that they "want to protect their DR.".

This made me angry. Protect her from what?! The patients? Wow, I'm sorry if I've been sick for 2 years with no help and have waited for 4 months to see this person, sorry if that puts her in danger somehow.

I am hoping to hear some personal feedback from other patients about LLMDs they've gone to or have heard of who go by Burrascano.

Or of people who got better and who they went to.

I am panicking. I feel like I'm waisting time and money and clearly asking if an LLMD goes by Burrascano when making an apt. does not get one accurate info.

Thanks again and hoping someone can help.
