I am searching for a doctor in the North East/North West region of Pennsylvania. I am researching for my boyfriend who is the one with lyme disease. He believes he was infected in April/May of 2010. He visited a family doctor in early summer of 2010 and was told he had a sinus infection. He ignored the symptoms until October when blood results confirmed the disease. He experiences pain and numbness in his joints, arms, legs, hands, feet and back and has chronic headaches. He spent one month on amoxicillin and is currently taking one month of doxycycline. After the disease was confirmed, his doctor suggested he visit a neurologist. He does not have insurance and that is why he has not acted on any kind of treatment because he is afraid of the cost. Can someone help us get this ball rolling and suggest any doctors?
