My wife has an appointment with Dr. K at Yale in two weeks. If anyone has any information, first- or second-hand, we would greatly appreciate it.

Stay away from Yale. They're at the heart of the Lyme disease coverup. will pm!

It's important to note that Onbam is incorrect on this. Yes, Yale does not agree Lyme is a big issue. However, Dr. K is one of the better LLMDs in the country. Not all Yale doctors agree with the University's stance on Lyme.

If he is the Dr. K that I think you are talking about (neurologist) -- he has 19 reviews at http://www.vitals.com
Most of them are positive.
The only 2 that are negative are the patients who mention lyme.
None of the positive comments mention lyme.
This is not a good sign.

He is one of the best Lyme doctors in the country, and even has written much of the literature himself.

However, if you're looking for someone to give you crazy supplements or false information like the other Dr. K than this is not the doctor for you.

Dr. K in CT has notoriously been dropping pts. I have numerous friends and acquaintances on here who have seen him, had huge workups, and then he doesn't follow up, return phone calls, etc. It seems he has perhaps gotten "too big for his britches." I would never write this if I hadn't heard it from NUMEROUS people. In fact I don't know one single person treated by him whom he has followed through with. He gets you in, gets the initial fee, does all the testing, maybe sees you once or twice, then you cannot get a return phone call again. I swear I have heard this from at least five people in the last six months.
