OK, Are there really no LLD's in Texas??!!! We are seeing one that was on a list on the Iliad (sp?) site. . . Researched him a bit on the internet and read both good and bad. He is definately "different." So now we have an appt with a Dr C in Missouri. Is that list of LLD'd not good to go by? Because there were other names on it. . . We also are seeing a ND here from that list--Dr. S. Is it ok to ask for opinions on certain doctors??? I don't want to violate any rules!!!! But sure would like to know others thoughts on these guys!! :-)
Thanks!

You can ask for opinions but they are hard to come by if no one knows that particular doctor.

You can PM me the names you are asking about. I do have a list with some names but I get reports from TX that NO ONE there is really an LLMD.

I haven't seen the ILADS list so can't comment.

The doctor in Missouri got me well!

*** PS .. You can only post the last initial and the STATE of the doctor in question.

The MO doctor has me sooooo much better. Still treating since I know I still have a way to go. I guess my suggestion at this point is to eat as healthy as you can, stopping sugars since it's not good to eat them while on ABX, lots of fresh lemon water, etc. When I found out by accident that I felt better after taking ABX (the doctor thought maybe I had a bladder infection & that it was why I was hurting & feeling so bad) After I was off them for awhile I started feeling like I was dying again...I insisted the doctor give me a refill of something stronger. I told the Dr. I'm not going to die just because I have to have ABX's & you WILL give it to me until I can find out WHY it's making me feel better. She had already put me through so many scans until THAT became very dangerous. Changed doctors finally this doctor put me on the right road but I had to find a LLMD since others doctors hands are so tied! Good luck to you!

Thanks for the response! It is my 16 yo daughter that has Lyme and it has been the most frustrating and horrible experience of our lives!! Her Lyme doc here in Texas keeps starting and stopping the abs--she begins taking them, then starts hurting unbearable so he backs off. We have been doing the on-again, off-again thing with abx for MONTHS now!! I am ready to find someone who I feel knows what he is doing!! In the meantime, I need to keep seeing him because he at least gives her some pain meds and sleep meds. . . We are also going to a naturopath here who uses the Cowden protocol, so maybe in the meantime, we can do some good with that. . . Very frustrating!! Looking forward to heading to Missouri!!
