Yes, I've had Dr. E recommended to me as well... does he take insurance?

I've been told by a number of people to avoid Dr. S... in Chadds Ford, PA, although one person on line did recommend him.

There seem to be many more docs to avoid than to go to!

That would be enough to scare ME away! You're right, Amy...you don't want to waste valuable time and money!

About Dr. S in Chadds Ford,

[CAVEAT: except for my own experience related here, this is all heresay...]

My Lyme-riddled brain actually forgot that I had been to him a couple of years ago, when he was over in NJ! I was not impressed at the time -- no examination at all, just a 45 minute lecture on the importance of PCR testing, for $110 that my insurance did not cover!

Then my GP mentioned that a couple of her other patients had tried him and had not been impressed, and that there might be some kind of official investigation going on...

I hope I have not posted too much for etiquette rules.

If you are in SE PA, I have a great GP who is very open to trying new treatments for lyme. She has another patient who is seeing a really great specialist (Dr. Cor...), who is unfortunately not taking on new patients. However, my GP is working with this other patient to gather information about diagnostic tests and treatments, so I might be able to get treated by my GP rather than trying to track down an LLMD specialist who is available and takes insurance!

If you are in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia, I can give you my GPs name if you are interested. Email me at [email protected] if you wish!

Me too -- Chester County. Do you go to any of the local support groups? I'm always interested in chatting with local Lymeys. :-)

My doc is not too knowledgeable about co-infections either, but since I need to have the tests done, she's gonna learn pretty darn quick! I love having a doc who admits when she does not know something and is willing to learn from her patients. So refreshing!!!!!!!
