My sister just told me that my 12 yr old niece was bitten by a tick 2 days ago, now today she has become lethargic, has a fever and is complaining that "everything hurts" and she has a headache.

Can someone give me recommendations of LLMD near the Charlotte area?

It might be a good idea to take your niece to an urgent care center and have her evaluated for rocky mountain spotted fever -- very common in NC and can become very serious very quickly. It sometimes takes 3 - 5 days for the rash to show up and not everyone gets the rash.
