Does anyone know anything about the Sierra Integrative Medical Center in Reno? Their website looks pretty impressive (www.sierraIM.com) We are considering taking our daughter there.

Hmmmm, GREAT MINDS think alike? All kidding aside, I've had the information at my desk here for several weeks. I ask my doc for a referral and got a luke warm response. My insurance carrier has given the okay as long as one doc rcommends it. Any doc. Although since then, my lyme tests came back positive and the wheels have started turning on the lyme protocol, so I haven't thought much about it this week. How old is your daughter.
The one thing I liked that they quote on their site is that they will continue to test and treat you until a cause is found. As other doctors have also made that committment, only to regress 8 months later and claim they can do no more, I have my hesitation. But I would be very interested in your thoughts. Maybe we could turn it into a summer vacation? just kidding

I went to it when it was Century wellnes,They were the ones that actually first diagnosed me with lyme after having been diagnosed with m.s. for 12 years. They use a homapathic approch and yes I did improve with there treatments but it was short lived. The Doctors and staff are great and if money is no object I guess I would recomend it,but after all the money I spent there I think a good LLMD would be better.

Yes it was called the Century Wellness center and you should do a search under the name. It is very expensive, but the staff is very nice. I went there just for testing and was diagnosed with lyme there but chose not to do treatment there after asking around and reading other people's posts. My friend did decide to give it a try for her lyme and she had a really bad reaction (the person lisa is speaking of) and almost died. She ended up in the ER and had seizures for almost three days. I heard others say they did not do well either, from the treatment. Hope this helps, just be careful with any place that claims they can cure you. Good luck if you do go let us know how it worked out for all of you. Posts: 25 | Registered: Mar 2004
