Hi- I'm looking for LLMDs in New Jersey. In case it's necessary, I'm a 27 year old female who had Lyme for 5 years when I was a teenager. One of my Lyme tests just came back positive 2-3 weeks ago (as well as an elevated ANA for two years), and while I'm ruling out other possibilities by visiting a rheumatologist, I'd like to be prepared with a LLMD name on hand. The longer I wait, the more anxious I feel to get this sorted out.

Do not expect a rheumatologist to give you accurate information here! There is one Lyme Literate Rheumatologist in NJ. But other than that, they DO NOT believe in Lyme and do believe in "auto-immune" diseases, for which they want to give you steroids, etc. The steroids, etc. will only make it next to impossible to treat Lyme.

Don't make yourself crazy seeing rheumies, other than the one Lyme Literate one, who is surely on the list sent to you. I've been there. They will drive you crazy and not help.
