Is it possible to test positive for Lyme, then have tests that come back negative over the next 2 yrs.

I tested positive for lyme in July 09, & was given Doxocycline for 4 weeks, 2 weeks after starting the dox..I woke up in the middle of the night with stabbing lower leg pain. Primary Care sent me for an ultra sound & outruled a bloodclot..& extended the dox for another week..5 weeks total..By October 09 I was unable to walk on my leg & was referred to Rheum Dr. which stated I never had Lyme??? Guess what I have..Fibro..well that was just the begining..I'm still sick..what is going on..is there a Lyme Spec in the Plymouth Massachusetts area..I need help........

YES!!!!!!!! Especially if you don't use a good lab.

sorry your post fell to the bottom of the page. We usually look for posts with zero replies .. oops.

Many of us here were once diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Junk diagnosis going nowhere.

Rheumies know little about Lyme disease. I will send you information for MA.
