Can anyone help me locate an LLMD in or around the New York City area? I have a friend whose 14 year old daughter is currently getting the "You have it...you don't have it" runaround from her family doctor. All the while she has neurological symptoms, pain, chronic fatiuge, and has been missing about a third of her school year to this disease - along with a positive Lyme test. Having been through this personally, I feel her pain, but can't help with a doc. Can any of you help us out? She lives in Staten Island and is willing to travel if necessary.

Thanks in advance!

Becca

I have posted on the board several times. Everyone has been soo wonderful. I would greatly appreciate that New York list as well. My family is in trouble. I think all of my children may be infected.

Yet another person here who could use the names of Manhattan (or close) doctors.

Last night I pulled out a Lone Star adult off my thigh.

Need to find someone NOW who will give me the prophylaxis abx.

Thanks.

--UPDATE / EDIT -- Callen-Lorde just gave me a prescription for antibiotics since Fire Island (where I was bitten) has such a high prevalence. They didn't even need convincing. Since I was already registered I didnt even have to go in!
