I saw my PCP who put me on a 14 day course of amoxicillin 500 mg tid PO for 14 days. My sister-in-law has chronic lyme suggested this site to me. I found the tick (smaller than sesame seed, black) on 6/22 attached and engorged. The tick was likely picked up in northern WI (near New Auburn) between 6/18 and 6/20. No evidence of EM, abx started 6/23. Basically wondering if I need to do a longer course of abx or if IV abx are needed in addition to PO.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I will send a name of a Wisconsin doctor sort of near you. I would think a longer dose is in order but can't say I've heard of IV antibiotics so soon after a bite.
I'm sorry this happened at such a special time in your life.

**EDITED location in WI**

You can also have the tick tested if you still have it.
