My husband was recently diagnosed with Lyme and was given the antiobiotic Augmentin by his primary doctor. I was looking to see if this is an adequate drug to combat Lyme and also for a specialist in our area. Thank you.

I have not been on Augmentin so I can't help there but I did send a private message with some names - good luck and I hope your husband feels better soon!

hi hmill. when i was first diagnosed, augmentin was one of the drugs initially prescribed by the initial llmd i went to. i had a severe allergic reaction to it and could not tolerate it and ceased taking it. based on my research, it is an appropriate drug. my i ask who your husband's doctor is and how you feel about him/her? thank you and i wish your husband (and you) the best in an easy and speedy recovery. smiles,
