My six year old nephew had a high fever/body aches for 11 days (dr said to be the flu) followed by many bullseyed rashes. Bloodwork just came back positive for Lyme disease. We are looking for a literate doctor perferably in northern Illinois ASAP...please help!! Currently taking 400 mg amoxicillan 3x a day. Have no idea what to do or where to go for help.

KimB, you may want to contact the moderators to enable your PM's. This is usually how we share doctor's information.

I am in need of a doctor in the Chicagoland/Kane County area. My 16 year old had a Lymes test which came back negative, but has had symptoms such as fever, vomiting, muscle/joint pain and psychotic symptoms. After being discharged from the psychiatric hosp, he found a tick on him. This is not the first time he has been bit. I have been reading a lot about false negative results.

Thank you,
