I'm posting this message on behalf of my mother. We recently watched "Under our Skin" together and were floored...
Mom is 60 years old and was diagnosed with and "treated" for Lyme disease around 20 years ago. Since then, she has gone from being a perfectly healthy person to having to get a pacemaker put in (at around 47 or 48, I think!), developing macular degeneration, and getting diagnosed with RA (which is our primary problem) and early-onset Parkinson's. Of course, we both understand that some of these problems may have been coming down the 'pike anyway, but, as you know, we can't be sure which!
We are concerned about how the insurance coverage works for treatment for Chronic Lyme Disease and hope that LLMDs are not forced to require patients to pay for the treatment 100% out-of-pocket.
Mom's not great on the internet, so here I am. I hope that HIPAA regulations don't interfere with indirect referals. If giving the referal to me is a concern, please let me know and I can give you mom's number or have her call someone.

Thank you so much for all the great info. I can't tell you how surprised I was to hear something back so quickly. MUCH appreciated!!!
