My 3 yr old son was diagnosed with Lyme's Disease in June. He was put on Amoxicillin for 21 days. 10 days later he had 104+ fevers that went on for 4 days straight with no cold symptoms. He complained about a sore neck, and seemed very clumsy, he now has an odd spotty rash that has spread from his chest to his back and thighs. His Pediatrician sent us to see an Infectious Disease Dr at Geisinger Medical, but that Dr did not believe that Lyme could become a chronic illness. I'm having trouble finding a LLDR in my area. We are located near East Stroudsburg/Scranton. Thank you, in advance, for your help!

Hi and welcome to lymenet!

First, I would suggest that you edit the Title of your post to say "Seeking a LLMD for 3 year old child in PA".

You can edit a post by going to your post and clicking on the little paper and pencil icon at the top of your post. After making the changes, click on "Edit Post".

There are very few lyme literate MD's for children...and you need to catch the attention of members here who have children with lyme who can help you with names of Pediatric LLMD's.

You need all the suggestions you can get,not just in PA, and you may need to travel.

I will send you PA info via private message.

Hopefully other members will send you more names of LLMD's in other states who treat children.
