i was diagnosed officially yesterday with lyme by pcp, I am very symptomatic and quit ill..
Pretty much bed ridden, extreme pain and have the bulls eye on left hip. Symptoms initially started slowly, and neurologically based, tingling, numbness in arms, across left side of face and a swollen lymph node in groin, then what i thought was a migraine started and progressively worsened. then within 12 hour period of time the symptoms exploded into fever, sweats chills, stabbing pains continued severe head pain, i can barley move neck. extreme fatigue. I was placed on 500mg amox 3x day for 3 weeks by pcp. i have been reading a lot and feel my pcp is not the best educated to help me.

if you can provide me with a name of a specialist in or around portland maine I would be very appreciative.

best,
laurie m
