This is my first time posting to anything like this so please forgive me if I don't do everything correctly. I really need to find a lyme literate doc in TN to help me determine if I do have it.

My background is a bit long and if I do have Lyme then I've probably had it for 30 yrs give or take (am 39 now). Was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when I was 21, have the symptoms of chronic fatigue also plus all the dysfunctions of those lovely disorders. Have been trying to get thyroid straightened out for last 6 yrs. Had to have a complete hysterectomy 2 yrs ago so now deal with hormone replacement. Thankfully I found an NP who got me on all bioidentical hormones.

The wife of a man who my husband works with has Lyme and she suggested I get tested b/c she was also diagnosed wth fibromyalgia til she tested positive for the Lyme. Her doc says 80% of fibro cases are actually Lyme.

Anyhoo, my NP agreed to test me but of course it came back negative (as her preceptor interpreted it). She is not comfortable treating me wth long term abx without a positive. And I'm now 2 hrs from her due to moving b/c of my husband's job. She already wanted me to find a thyroid/hormone specialist here. She says I am a case study b/c even the unconventional methods don't work right with me.

(I wrote down 3 pages of symptoms that I have dealt wth or do deal wth from a Lyme website so I can't give up on this til I know b/c to me fibromyalgia is a symptom, not a diagnosis.)

Of course there is much more to my story but bottom line is I need a LLMD who preferably also uses bio- identical hormones and is knowledgeable about thyroid in Tennessee. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Dr. K in Franklin TN? We also hear there are some in Henderson, TN. PM me and I'll get you the info we have. There is also a homeopathic Dr. in Atlanta GA that is supposed to be good? Also, keep me in the loop as you hear about others. I am new to LD, and want to keep abreast of all the doctors in the area. I am currently under abx treatment with a Bham doctor, but am sure that when the 30 day dose runs out, she'll not renew the prescription.
