My original test came back positive, but my Western Blot was negative, however, I have had many Lyme symptoms for over a year. I've been diagnosed and later un-diagnosed with everything from MS to chronic Fatigue to Fibromyalgia. Lyme seems to fit ALL the symptoms, not just some.

I am looking for a doctor in the Boston/Metrowest area. Thanks!

Hi , I am new here and also looking for a doctor in Massachusetts.

I was bitten by what I think was not a Lyme tick last Sunday ( I woke up with it) October 9th. I went to my regular gp and was given one dose of Doxy ( 2 capsules).
Then this Monday (October 17th) I woke up with a deer tick in my arm.
I was given another one dose of Doxy over the phone and was told to come back next week for a lyme test.

I am freaking out as I look healthy but have a host of problems including, short bowel syndrome, and absorbtion and inflammatory issues, low ph to name a few. I already struggle for good health on a daily basis.
I don't want to wait around on this one.

any help would be appreciated..and a doctor would be super appreciated.
Please pm me.

Thanks cas

OMG!!!! 2 pills!!? [rant] [shake]

Get to another doctor ASAP!! This one will keep you ill. Testing one week later is actually too soon. It is likely to come back falsely negative.

I would want 200mg doxycycline twice a day for 6-8 wks for any initial bite.

Please post in Medical Questions so others may sound off on this. Just leave out the part of needing a doctor. We have that covered here.

welcome! [Cool]

Please consider joining your state group for help. Find instructions at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme. These moderated groups are in the LymeDisease.org (formerly CALDA) network.
