I live in oklahoma and work as a state game warden. Needless to say ticks are an everyday occurance in my career.
In 2008 I collapsed and was diagnosed with rocky mountain and ehrlichiosis. According to my gp, ehrlichiosis has become quite an epidemic in this county.
My symptoms wax and wane but always return and progress. My gp ran an mri and found demyelination. He is fairly certain this was caused from the tick fever as that was when all of my symptoms started.
He sent me to a neurologist that is uncertain but leaning towards a multiple sclerosis diagnosis. I would be grateful for any doctor referrals near me to help with my diagnosis.

Please consider joining your own state group in the LymeDisease.org network. Many groups are sizable enough to offer quite a bit of help. Go to http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme to find how to find your group.
