I am in search of a LLMD who thinks creatively with regard to diagnostic techniques and who takes an aggressive approach to treatment alternatives. My domestic and international travel histories are extensive. So, connecting with a physician who would not confuse malaria with lyme, for example, would be a plus.
I have spent the last several months being told my symptoms are "simply" a result of depression and anxiety. And, that I should listen to relaxation CDs, breath deeply, and drink chamomile tea. Unfortunately, after five hospital stays, opinions from a variety of subspecialties, and taking a gazillion non-specific conventional medications , symptoms have persisted and my health continues to decline.
I am in the Chicago area and am willing to travel to once again be restored to great health.
Please help!
