Looking for LLMD in Southern Maryland: Charles or St Mary's County, possibly Calvert

Really need one who takes insurance, though I know so many do not. Was treated yrs ago by Dr S in DC (now Towson I believe) & Dr L in Baltimore County and it put us into so much debt. After 18ish months of treatment between the two, my CD 57 was good so therefore I was told by Dr L that I was cured. Have always had symptoms left over after she considered me cured (and she wanted me to see Dr S on Eastern Shore, which I refused - the dude doesn't even believe in chronic Lyme - because she had no idea why I still was experiencing some of the same symptoms she had considered part of my Lyme. So she wanted me to see Dr S because she felt what I was still experiencing could not be Lyme related any longer as I was cured). Makes no sense to me but we could no longer afford her $300 (for about 9 mo it was costing us $600 per month due to my SO also needing treatment) monthly visits. To say the least, I was happy to be feeling 70% better and that was that.

Since having my second child the symptoms I continue to experience after treatment have been increasing drastically and now I am starting to experience almost all of the same symptoms that initially led me to my Lyme diagnosis after having my first child. So most of my symptoms are back. Symptoms are getting bad enough I can no longer keep denying I need treatment again. Sigh. Not happy about this.

This time around I simply cannot pay out of pocket for treatment. My oldest has autism, Tourettes and a range of other deficits that have depleted everything we have/own. I now have a second child (babies are so expensive) and we have also been supporting one of my siblings and their child for the past 8 months (when we are having problems paying our own bills) since there is no one else who will help.

With the baby being so young & my oldest having multiple therapy sessions several days a week (plus school), I simply cannot do the drive to NVa, DC, Baltimore, etc. Nor could I afford the gas, as I do a ton of driving my oldest to/from all of his different therapies and doctors. Therefore I def need to stay in SoMd. I just do not have the time or financial ability to do multiple trips to a LLMD that is hours away Plus the brain fog is back so I try to limit my driving (& driving to locations I am unfamiliar with) as I get lost extremely easily these days, which has caused me to experience anxiety anytime I drive outside of my comfort zones.

Any names forwarded would be much appreciated

I don't know of any lyme doctors in southern Maryland anymore.

But, I know of one doctor who treats lyme and takes insurance located in Germantown, Md. That is going to be a drive, but he takes insurance.

If you are interested in the name, let me know.

3 month wait to get in.

Perhaps the lyme support groups (see Support Groups on left side of page) could give you some help. Really sorry. There may not be any lyme docs in your area.
