I need help ASAP! My wife is to sick to travel and her current LLMD is ineffective and won't change/continue treatment without seeing her again.

Her worst symptom, by far, is total med-resistant insomnia, and it's gone from terrible to terrifying. She's been battling this for over two years and has degraded to the point that she is in no shape to travel to a doc.

Does anyone know of an LLMD that will treat/consult via phone or skype??? She desperately needs a doctor that can help her - immediately!

Thank you in advance for the help.

dj_mr_fantastic, I am sorry your wife is so sick.

I don't know any doctor who would treat without physically seeing a patient at least once or twice a year. The doctor is responsible for the care of the patient. I believe part of this care is physical examination and speaking to the patient one on one. Many doctors will do phone appointments in-between office appointments for patients who travel from out of state.

Is your wife currently seeing a Lyme doctor in OH?

Links to articles & supplements

======================================

If she can't travel to a LLMD, I'm not suggesting traveling to a LL ND would be possible. However, you might find one closer.

Even if not able to go, you both might want to take a look at the articles and books here:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/2/13964

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc.

Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:

Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures;

Knowing that support supplements are important, but NEVER enough alone. And knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.

You can compare and contrast many approaches.

BASIC HERBAL EDUCATIONAL links, and

BODY WORK links with safety tailored to lyme patients,

RIFE links,

BIONIC 880 (& PE-1) links, and

LOW HEAT INFRARED SAUNA detail.
