Hi all,

Thanks again for all your replies to my previous post re. doctors.

It seems that Dr H has been favorably recommended by a lot of people.

He has a waiting list of a year but I can get an appointment with his PA Dr F much much sooner.

From what I've heard, he sometimes liaises with Dr H on certain cases.

I was wondering if any one has had any experiences with him and what people's thoughts were?

I'm thinking that if I went with Dr F I can almost get some of the knowledge and methods that Dr H uses without the long wait.

Many thanks

Adey

J.F. is not a Dr. - he is a Nurse Pracitioner and a very good one at that. I suppose one could call him "Doctor" if he has his Doctorate in Nursing.

He spent over 5 hours with me at my first appointment. Dr. H. DID come in towards the end of my appointment to go over things and make recommendations and appove the tx. plan.

My understanding is Nurse F. does consult with Dr. H. and you will, at times, see Dr. H. for some of your appointments.

Nurse F. is trained by Dr. H. and follows the same protocols as Dr. H. There were a couple of times that he did not know the answer to something and he excused himself to speak with Dr. H.

Initially, I was a bit concerned with seeing a Nurse Practitioner and not Dr. H. , but I have no concerns now and feel like I am in the best of hands - from the Nurses to Dr. H.

The way I see it, having the NP's and PA's treat pt.s allows for many more people to get into treatment - still under the direction of Dr. H.

I love J.F. So far I have seen him, my husband and son and Dr. H came in every time.

I brought my teenager there and he was reluctant to go, J.F. spoke to him in a way that made him feel at ease and made my life just a little easier. My son really liked him and that's saying a lot.

I bring my twin girls next week, and my oldest son the week after that. Staying positive [Smile]

anyone in that office will be trained by Dr. H. and supervised by him; as a new patient, your case will be looked over by him. In the 2 years I spent going there I loved the other PAs who worked there as much Dr. H. himself, so have no fears, you will be in good hands - just get there [Smile]
