This is my first post. I am a 36 years old female and have been suffering from lyme like symptoms since the age of 19.

I have just recently started reading about lyme and I cannot believe how these stories are so much like mine.

In the beginning I was told I had MS even though tests didn't confirm it.

I have had so may test. I was tested for lupus and all the other types of things.I have also had two brain MRI and they showed nothing.I did have low B-12.

Anti depressants did help the paanic attacks that started after I had these symptoms. I was able to atleast move. They did not however help the symptoms. I just deal woth them better.

I have been told it's in my head and that I must need attention.

I mean who in the world not be depressed with all these scary symptoms and no answers.

I have missed half my life to whatever it is I have. When this first started 18 years ago I was tested for lyme and told to forget it.That was about 1 month after symptoms started.

I have been so demoralized by physicians that I quit going to any doctor. My dizziness, blurry vision, brain fog and visual snow (which apparently is all in my head) keeps me from even helping my kids with their school work like I want to.

Until I read about lyme recently I had given up to let whatever this is kill me.The SCARY things is that my kids now 14 & 17 have been complaining with fibromyalgia type symptoms visual snow and saying their heads feel weird. I'm so lost.I never talked about my sickness in front of them but the doctors say they pick up ideas. [Frown]

Well, apparently in SC if you have these symptoms you are depressed because you are a stay at home mom and homeschool. I am diagnosed with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and CRAZY!!

I was never depressed until after dibilitating pain, numbness and tingling all over, muscle twitches(which my doc laughed at me for)vision disturbances and I can't even hear well anymore. The fatigue undescribable.

I have noticed I can't think straight or follow simple directions. I went from feelin pretty smart and educated to writing things a second grader could do better [Frown]

I know this is a long post. Thanks for listening to me ramble on.If anyone knows of a real llmd in South Carolina or bordering states please let me know.
Thank you!

You may want to post this in Medical so you can get feedback on your medical questions. Have you seen the link titled "Quick Links to Popular Topics" in Medical??

There aren't any LLMD's in SC... would you like a list for NC?

Yes I would love to have a list for North Carolina. Are there any who accept insurance?
Thank you so much!
