I really need reviews for Dr. R in NYC. I have an appointment with him, but I need to know if he's worth it.

I prefer to take a more natural approach to treatment (due to being allergic and having side effects from so many abx).

Would love to hear reviews from his patients. Please post here or PM me. Thank you!

Forget him. I have many complaints from his patients for the last year.

Here are some old public posts about this doc:

After 2 visits and about 10 unanswered emails, I feel like I'm just a number to Dr. R and his P.A. C, not a patient or even a person! At my first visit he said that you can email them with any questions or concerns and they will answer within 24 hours. When I first started on the abx 4 months ago I went through a horrible herx and could not get a hold of anyone there for over a week. I'm lucky if they answer an email after a week and only if I resend it a couple times! Does anyone know of a good LLMD in NY and not just an LLMD, there is definitely a big difference! I feel so sick and weak all the time and just want to give up. Having a doctor that doesn't seem to care is definitely not helping!

LymeOverwhelmed I've heard the same frustration from many. I haven't sent out his name in a long while. Sorry you experienced this. I will send you a name.

My daughter and myself see Dr R in NY and I just get the feeling his heart is not into it, don't get me wrong, he is kind, witty, but he has done no test on my daughter or myself to check liver functions or anything while giving us antibiotics, I have spent thousands, she did see DR J for years, but we were at a dead end, she is currently receiving IVIG and is still sick as a dog it seems like no one cares, I am looking for someone maybe in CT who has help someone get well and has good intentions not $ in mind!!
