I'm looking anywhere in CT (or Westchester County, NY) for a LLMD who also is experienced in pediatric gastroenterology.
I have a child who tested negative for lyme some years' ago (via the usual blood test) despite neurological symptoms, fatigue, fevers, migraines, abnormal liver enzymes and now, chronic ulcerative colitis with numerous flare-ups.
The 'regular' doctors refuse to acknowledge any connection between his bites/ticks that we had to remove from him then, and the ongoing medical issues, as all of them feel that lyme has no relevance to their own specialty.
I am very worried as my child is much worse this year than in years' past. Like most, I would dearly love to find someone who takes insurance - but I'll max every credit card I can find if I can only find a LLMD with the relevant experience who will listen.
Thanks so much for reading this!
