have a friend who is in the hospital. seizures, paralasis, pain in joints. had a positive lyme screen but then a negative western blot. they are saying she is crazy and sending her to a neurologist. i really feel she has lyme's. she needs a good dr. and soon. thanks

If she can get down to weschester or nyc or nj i have some names of drs. who will help her. please let me know by pm. wb tests are not reliable all the time. she needs a dr. literate in lyme.

Shanana - Most docs don't know how to read that Western Blot, and her doc is obviously following the IDSA protocol - which is OUTDATED and the reason why many Americans are suffering needlessly! Go to ILADS.org to learn how people get well! If she had a positive ELISA it is likely she HAS Lyme.
I will send you a list of NY docs by PM - hopefully you can find one in your area. Also, you may want to contact one of the local Lyme Associations in that list, to get more info on any local docs.
