I understand Dr. S. is good. However, I suggest you see the doctor I gave you rather than Dr. S.

Perhaps reread my private message to you regarding the doctor's credentials and all those recommending her.

You don't want to select a doctor out of impatience.

There is always a long wait to see a good lyme doctor.

What you were told about the IgM on Western Blot is not true. Whether you are positive on IgG or IgM, if you have lyme symptoms, it indicates that you have lyme.

Read this post to see a doctor saying this:

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/42077

Notice this sentence:

"Because Borrelia burgdorferi is a chronic persistent infection that may last for decades, you would think patients with chronic symptoms would have positive IgG Western blots.

But actually, more IgM blots are positive in chronic borreliosis than IgG. Every time Borrelia burgdorferi reproduces itself, it may stimulate the immune system to form new IgM antibodies.

Some patients have both IgG and IgM blots positive. But if either the IgG or IgM blot is positive, overall it is a positive result.

Response to antibiotics is the same if either is positive, or both."

Your are right. I saw Dr J out of impatience. But I am so sick. And I need treatment. I am wasting away more every day and my kids are very worried about me. I made an appointment with Dr. S in DC but it is not till end of July i would love to see her mote than anybody. I also could see dr. C in MO on june 11. Dr. S in PA I could see him on Tuesday. His website is very simple and they don't even have email. And I don't know what make of that. I was told he that he is a victem too. He was recommended by a former ilads lady. She sees him herself. She is still on ab and will be for the rest of her life, she says.
What do you think of dr. C in Mo?
I just really need help!!!! Because I am so sick!!
Thanks a lot guys!!

Dr. C in MO is good. You could go to him until you can get in with the doc you really want.

The symptoms you have named are all common with lyme patients. So you are suffering from lyme or perhaps herxing from being on lyme treatment (if you are on any lyme treatment), or both.

Your not alone in wasting time with some Lame Duck. Save your energy, don't look back and keep looking & moving foward. It will get better.
As TF said go to who you can and work your way up. It's what most all of us have had to do.

PM sent.

Get on them lists & cancellation lists and keep calling and emailing them until you get in with someone. Never quit & Don't give up! It will get better, so hang in there.

CJ..

Binebee, Per Our phone conversation. "In my honset opinion" in your case, Dr.J Was right on the money. He is infact treating you correct.

If I were in your shoes, I would do as he told you for now, because anyone that is a competent LLMD will tell the same thing Dr.J has.

If you decide to use another doctor and not take this advise, make sure they clear the (candida or C-Diff) before they start ABX treatment on you.

You don't want to get worse at this point, you want to get better.

Prayers,
CJ

I would like information on Dr. S. I found a llmd, and have been having moderate herx. I would like a second opinion. I know enough to be dangerous, and have experienced enough herxes to get that this is serious.

Will a llmd, do a second opinion visit if I'm being treated by another llmd? and Can you pm the name? I am on NE coast and am well enough sometimes for a car ride. I am also looking for ll counselor. They are rarer than docs. I haven't found one. Lots of psych symptoms!

Thank you for any help.

And, thank you for the many posts. By now, I'd be really sick if the internet wasn't available to me. Thank you for helping people like me, My gratitude is hard to put in words. Thank you

I sent you info.

It's always better to begin your own thread. Here is how:

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=015522;p=0

Maybe you don't need one in Seeking now, but will need this info to post on the other forums.
