Hi,

I'm looking for a doctor in or near Santa Cruz (or Monterey).

I have limited funds and have just been diagnosed from a bullseye rash from my PCP.

I want to make sure I get the right treatment.

Thank you to you both!

Is there anyone towards Monterey too?

(I want to make sure I have options to see who has the soonest opening)

You want the BEST, not the one you can get in to see quickly, easily.

Did your PCP give you doxycycline to get you started?? If not, call him ASAP and demand treatment. You need 200mg of doxy twice a day.

Yes, I was given 3 weeks of doxy at 200mg per day. I'm scared it won't be enough. I'll PM you some more info.

Thanks!

That's not enough - should be 200mg doxy 2x/day for 6-8 weeks. That's why we go to Lyme-treating doctors, called LLMDs - Lyme-literate medical doctor.
