My husband was recently diagnosed with Lyme and is about to finish up his Doxy and we're looking around for an ID MD.

Right now I'm liking the sounds of Dr S in Va and wondering if anyone has experience with him. I was also looking at Dr Z in Va but her reviews seem to have suffered in the last few years...

About my husband: aged 29, healthy all his life until a recent trip in Appalachia left him very ill.

(un)Thankfully my family has struggled with Lyme since ~97 so my mom was the first to openly suggest a Lyme test (though I had thought briefly of it) & we've caught it while it was acute.

We have no health insurance and no income. My husband just graduated Uni in May after serving in the Navy for 6 years & has been unable to find a job. Because of my illnesses & now his, we have no income but only a nest egg of savings. This is why we're also looking for a doctor who is gracious with payment plans & (maybe) discounts.

Sorry this is so long, thanks in advance for any help offered! [bow]

Do not waste money on ID doctors .. not unless they are proven to be Lyme Literate.
