You deserve to have some pain coverage!! I had a pain med regime long before I found out I had Lyme. I rotated meds so as not to get up too high on any of them, ie - so I wouldn't develop tolerance.

So is there anywhere you can go to get some pain med? Any pain clinics at all?

I also found anything I could do to lessen pain in any which way I could, just to take the level of it down. I had all kinds of pain alleviation gadgets by the time the Lyme was found.

Others will be along soon with doctor referrals.

Hang in there - it does get better with some treatment.

We're all different - for me, for example, I went on oral clindamycin, and in a week's time, my fibromyalgia pain was gone.

There are lots of treatment options, whether people go to an LLMD or have to do some self-treating.

Treatment is in three categories - kill/deter the organisms, detox, and fortify the body. You can use the search function at the top of the page to type in any word or phrase, and archived posts will come up.

Some people are also treating with Buhner herbs - see his book, "Healing Lyme," for a list of them and what they do. His site is www.planetthrive, and yahoo site is Lyme_Aid_Buhner. It can be a cheaper way to go.

If you want to discuss pain meds/alleviation and treatment further, you can make a post in General Support or Medical Questions and have that discussion with everyone.
