There is a really top notch lyme doctor in Washington, D.C. (Many from central and eastern PA come to D.C. for their lyme treatment.)
Not many docs are her equal. She will do telephone appointments after the first in-person appointment, so you won't have to travel to her monthly.
If you are willing to consider this doc, let me know and I will send you all the info on her. I believe you would be wise to get her as your doc.
This is what I learned in my approx. 10 years of being around this disease: many doctors treat lyme disease, but only a few know enough to get rid of it for a person.
I had undiagnosed lyme disease for at least 10 years. I found one of the few that knew enough to get rid of it for me. He was my 3rd doc. Wasted 2 years in treatment before finding him.
Now, it is over 7 years since I completed my treatment and got this disease behind me. I just stick around LymeNet to point folks to the best doctors. Saves you a lot of wasted time and money.
The doc is the key to getting rid of this horrendous disease. I can't emphasize that enough. The doc is the key.
I can give you lots of happy patient reports also.
You can contact your state lyme support groups and get their opinion of her also. See Support Groups on left side of page.
