have had lyme for 17 years. Found out when a friend who worked in a lab called me and told me I definetely had lyme & to find a specialist. Since moving to Maine from Connecticut years later, I haven't been able to find a specialist. Every other year I have the definite lyme symptoms show up and I go on antibiotics, which seem to work. My regular doc knows nothing about lyme, but gives me antibiotics when I ask for it.
