Hello i have had lyme disease for about a year now i did find a good lyme disease doctor in Oregon but due to work i had to move to Las Vegas

i was on antibiotics and they worked great had no symptoms why i was on the antibiotics but as soon as i stoped taking them my symptoms have returned

i think only reason it has not become more chronic is i take alot of natural remedies like cats claw vitamin c himalayan sea salt and much more but it only helps a little

i need to find a doctor who can prescribe me antibiotics longer then the recommended 3 weeks so if any buddy knows of a LLMD in Nevada plz let me know [Smile]

(breaking this up for easier reading for many here)

I don't know of any in Nevada.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Nevadalyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources:
www.lyme-aware.org
www.ilads.org
www.lymediseaseassociation.org

Once you have some names, write a new post in "Seeking a Doctor" to ask for personal references. This way, you will find the right doctor to give you the correct treatment.

BTW - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.

I am also in Nevada (Las Vegas) and was diagnosed in 2007. Since then I also haven't found a good LLMD in the state, but there are many in California (probably your closest option if you live in southern NV). Good luck!

BTW, the yahoo Lyme group has not been meeting in quite some time as I understand it.

If there aren't any for NV, pm me and I could give you some CA referrals.

Thanks, johnny_broadway, for the update on the Nevada Lyme Support Group.

Those of us who answer posts and send out information have no real way of knowing about these things unless someone informs us of changes, etc.

For example, I was told the Support Groups contact information on the Lymenet page (upper left-hand side) is four years old.

Thanks again. I appreciate the info.
