I have been sick for 1 1/2 years. (It started with a bang, and I was suddenly not functional as a person.) After 8 months and after being referred to several Dr's, it was finally found that I have lyme disease.

I have been under treatment for 10 months, but I can not tell that I am getting better. My Dr. has said I am a "tough case". What can I do? Who can I go see who may be able to help me?

The symptoms are almost all neurological. (Extreme, incapacitating dizziness made worse by noise, movement, and left-right head movement - I loose where I am in time and space - trouble walking, shaking, trouble thinking, slurred speech, short-term memory loss, left inner ear trouble (thumping, ear popping, the extreme dizziness comes from my LEFT EAR ONLY, which was why we were on the wrong track for so long... it looked like an ear problem), and much more.

We have not done IV antibiotics.

I do not know what my next step is. Something has to change, because this is an impossible life. (single mom of six!!!) I have heard that Dr. C is a good Dr?? Could she help me? Any other PA suggestions? Dr's that are known to be well with neurological problems?

Thank you so much.

The fibromyalgia I've had for 32 years was an undiagnosed Lyme symptom.
