I could bore everyone with my endless list of symptoms, but I'll just sum it up by saying that things have gotten really REALLY bad and the usual test for lyme antibodies has been negative 3 times, but I have found no other answers, even though I've seen every specialist for A to Z. If anyone can help me find a literate doctor in New Jersey (preferably Northern Jersey) I would be very grateful. Thank you....Steve....

The concensus of lyme patients in New Jersey is that there are no good lyme doctors in NJ.
What this means is that you can go to a lyme doc in New Jersey and spend a lot of time and money, but you likely will NOT get rid of your lyme. You have to go out of state for a doc with enough expertise to cure you.
The first lyme doctor appointment is the extremely expensive one--like maybe $700. So, do you want to pay that to a doc in NJ to get someone to say, "Yes, I believe it's lyme" just to have to start with another doc somewhere else and pay that high price again to get good treatment?
Are you willing to travel to other states for a good doc?
You can try the lyme support groups in your area (see Support Groups on left side of page) to find just a lyme friendly doctor for now. This is a doc who takes insurance and doesn't have a long wait to get in. Such a doc can give you their opinion as to whether or not it sounds like lyme.
Or, you can form your own opinion by looking at the symptom list in the Burrascano LYme Treatment Guidelines found here:
See pages 9-10. The more symptoms you have, the more likely it is lyme. The tests regular doctors do to look for lyme are junk. So, don't let the negative lyme test results affect you. If the symptoms fit, the diagnosis is lyme. Many, many people get negative results, especially from labs like Quest and LabCorp.
See page 7 where it says the tests are unreliable.
There are very, very few lyme docs who can get rid of this disease for a person, so be willing to travel to see one. Many people go out of state for their care.

This is not true. I've been seeing an LLMD in NJ for a couple of years now and I think she is considered one of the best LLMD's on the east coast.
