I am seeking a doctor in Northern VA/DC metro area.
My story: I live in Alexandria, VA and was bitten by a deer tick in Tennessee on 9/2.
Symptoms started 9/13 and Doxycycline started 9/18.
It seems like I was lucky enough to diagnose this in the early stage but given the horror that Lyme can become, I want to make sure I'm covered. I'm worried because I've been on doxy for about a week and symptoms are not really subsiding.
Symptoms have been coming and going, but generally I have back pain (feels like my spine is hard as a rock), fatigue, joint pain/aches (as of last night). Earlier I was feverish, had chills, and major head pressure.
If anyone has any information for doctors in Northern Virginia, or the DC metro area, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
Stay well, Maria
