Hi Everybody,

I have been having a lot of trouble with my shoulder lately, range of motion is way down and having a fair amount of pain when moving.

I moved to Florida from the Northeast some years back and recollect having had a tick bite with the red circle, thought I had no symptoms and paid it no mind.

Not sure what to look for symptom wise but this shoulder thing seems weird.

Generally feel fine, unaware of any issues other than shoulder.

If you think I need LLMD, please advise.

Thanks!

Welcome to Lymenet! You both need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A bulls'-eye rash is definitive for Lyme.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/floridalyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you:

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

Thanks,

If anyone knows of a LLMD in Broward County, Florida I would be most appreciative if information was passed along.

Sent you a list. You may want to be treated in the NorthEast somewhere instead.

Hi Vince:

You could have a frozen shoulder and not everything is Lyme.

If it was me I'd order the Igenex test kit from their web site, bring it to your MD (the test is like a prescription it must be authorized by an MD) sign the form for the borrelia test. Then have the blood draw and test for the borrelia anti bodies.

Then if you have some positive or indeterminate band readings it would indicate the presence of the borrelia bacteria.

Good Luck
