Hello I just moved to nc a month ago.

I was reccomended here dr f in nc.
I have been calling the past 3 weeks every day and have
Left multiple messages with no response.

There isnt a message on the answering machine that said the office would be closed.

I understand the last 2 weeks it may have closed for thanksgiving but no response at all this week either.

Yesterday the answering machine was full but not today.

Still no responses to my messages. I said on the machine that I was from nj and very sick and have a central line in my chest. But still no one answers the phone or calls me back.

This is very concerning to me. Maybe I should try another nc doctor? Can someone please make alternate nc llmd suggestions to me?

Or if anyone is a patient of Dr F can they tell is this normal? What's going on? Is the office really closed or open? Does the Dr F know that staff don't return calls or are not picking up the phone? Maybe the dr f isn't taking new patients right now and that's why no call back?

I keep thinking what if I was a patient of hers with an emergency. They do not even provide an emergency back up number on the answering machine. This scares me greatly!
Or maybe I keep calling so they are annoyed and not answering when they see my number on caller I'd?

Any suggestions?

I'm having trouble with mobility right now so I am Afraid just to show up if the office is closed. I made an appt. with my old nj dr because I'm really sick and will be running out of meds. But not only is that expensive for airfare hotel etc. but impractical when I'm flaring and can't walk or he orders testing.

Any nc advice here? Desperate!

R 😩

The doc is in practice alone and has had major problems keeping a reliable receptionist. Think they may have fired the last one and don't know if a new one has been hired yet. I will try the docs personal cell number and email and see if I can get an update for you.

You can send me an email to the address below.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/northcarolinalyme

Maybe they can help you.

I've been emailing the local support group without response unfortunately after the initial contact.

Ughhh very frustrating.

Worried moving to nc with lyme maybe not such a great choice.

These support groups are generally led by lyme disease patients. I found that a very ill patient led the one I contacted in my state.

So, if they aren't getting back to you, chances are they are experiencing very poor health.

The folks that do this work are really to be commended. I suggest you try contacting a few other groups in your area.

You are right, rosie. NC is not a good place to have Lyme, but then again NO place is!

This is strange, because I can`t reach my NC LLMD either. I have been seeing Dr. P. , and had an appointment for a phone consult yesterday, which she did not keep, nor did she cancel. She did not respond to an email earlier this week either, which is unusual, and there is nobody answering the phone, or responding to my message. [confused]

Hmm. The dr P in my area is a man, which I also called yesterday and left a message. Not sure if something is going on in nc then? Still no success with Dr F so going back to nj next week.

I did get the next support grp meeting but that's not until a month from now. Ughhh.
