The southeast U.S. doesn't seem to have many good lyme doctors, based on what many have said over the years.
In much of the southeast doctors will insist that they have no lyme disease. And, they will not accept that a person could have come to the southeast and had lyme from somewhere else. So, getting any help at all in the southeast is hard.
It seems that you have to come up to D.C. and north to get to some good docs. If, after some research, you decide that you are willing to do this, I can give you some good names.
I did a search of prior posts for you re. southeast U.S.
This document will give you your education on this horrendous disease.
Don't feel hopeless! There are good doctors who can help you. Let me know if you want names. Just click on the envelope icon above my post and I will give you the information I have.
I had undiagnosed lyme disease for at least 10 years. I went through 2 lyme doctors before I found my third who cured me. Now, it is over 8 1/2 years since I completed my treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life.
We will help you here all we can.
