Hi Everyone,
I am new to this website. I am waiting on Igenex results so haven't yet been diagnosed with Lymes but I suspect I have it, or MS.

Brain MRI's came out normal and my neuro doesn't think I have MS. My Elisa tests all negative but I have been in bed since July with burning skin, tremors, extreme fatigue, skin sores on my hand, intermittent nausea and dizziness and waking feeling awful. I have a whole host of symptoms that vary day to day.

I am sick and my PCP said it may just be an illness that I have to live with!! They Rx'd elavil 10mg for sleep and to help with parasthesias.

I have an appt with Dr. H in Massachusetts. She is an LLMD. Does anyone have an opinion on her. I am desperate. I also have an appt with NP N in Rhode Island but that is at the end of Feb and I don't want to wait since I want to start treatment already.

Thank you so much for any help
Sheri

Welcome to Lymenet! So sorry you are going through this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/massachusettslyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you:

www.s-l-a-m.org

Unfortunately, the wait time for appointments is usually several months down the road for many. You could try getting an appointment sooner with Lyme doctors by calling their offices to ask if they have any cancellations. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
