Was diagnosed in 2009 (think I had already had

it for a couple of years beforehand)Finally

found a practitioner willing to help me get

better. Was given a pic line and was somewhat ok for the

next few year (still had the migraines and

arthritis symptoms though) September of last

year was completely blindsided by symptoms and

was out of work on temp disability for 4 months.

I believe I may have chronic lymes but my

practitioner and I are sort of at a dead end as

far as treatment. Infectious disease I went to

told me no such thing. My doc is still

researching and

trying to help (love her) but meanwhile I am

back to work and fading fast. Any info is

greatly appreciated. I thought it would be

easier getting help the sencond time around but

finding it even harder. Sorry so long

So, did you ever have a real LLMD?? Infectious disease doctors are generally worthless when it comes to Lyme.

I'll send you some info.

Welcome to Lymenet!

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/newjerseylyme

Maybe they can help you.

Another resource for you:
www.lyme-aware.org/new-jersey.html

When you call for an appointment, ask if they have cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Dr. H, the top Lyme doctor, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
