Can anyone give me any suggestions for a lyme doctor in the allentown/palmerton area? I want to call the doctor for a copy of the test results but I am apparently negative. I've been having stomach problems for months, stiff/sore neck and shoulders and jaw, general fatigue. My vitamin d came back low but a month or more ago, i started feeling lightheaded basically constantly and it seems to increase in severity in periods of times.. Just recently I feel more anxious all the time, tighter chest?, hear heartbeat a lot, hearing seems to be off and sometimes things seem loudish, feel out of it and in a dream a lot which upsets me.. Recently the lightheadedness hit even worse, my joints seem to be sore, it felt weird to walk like my body went super heavy and weak including my head so i went to the er. Felt really off balance, lasted almost a week. had pink eye like two months ago, and i remember having a sore throat lasted 3 weeks. When i stand from sitting my feet feel heavy, tingly. The lightheadedness and spaced out feeling scares me the most..and i am always SO tired. I really hope this is not "fibro" or "anxiety". Any suggestions? [Frown]

Also it's like i can't hear as well. Might go back to the doctor and ask if i have any blockage or possible inner ear infection, which i doubt. Twice now i woke up in the middle of the night in like a panic but that could be just me being upset. It's like i'm more lightheaded, weird feeling in the morning lately. I also remember waking up and having a rush go througout my body, weird. When i focus on things it's like it moves a bit with my heartbeat? Not noticable now though. The one day at work it's like my mind was racing and every sound was annoying me, yet i hate going to work cause it's like i cant hear as well a lot and concentrate.

You are in eastern Pennsylvania, correct?

If so, you need to put PA in the title of your post so people who have doctors' names for PA will see it and open your post.

To edit your title, just click on the paper and pencil icon above your post.

Your symptoms certainly could be from lyme disease. Lyme affects the brain big-time. People call it brain fog, slow thinking, loss of memory, etc.

Also, you can have muscle weakness with lyme and certainly sore joints and sore neck. Tingling is also a lyme symptom.

See the list of common lyme symptoms on pages 9-10 of the Burrascano Lyme Treatment Guidelines found here:

http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

For your first lyme doctor appointment you want to have a VERY complete list of symptoms. So, use that checklist to help you make one.

Welcome to LymeNet. We will help you here all we can.

Until the Pa. folks come along and give you names, I suggest you check the support groups in your area. Click on "Support Groups" on the left side of the page.

Contact as many as possible to get some names and learn about their reputations, wait times, etc.

Find out if they are getting people well. Find out if they follow the Burrascano protocol or some other lyme treatment protocol.

I will send you the little I have.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for PA.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/pennsylvanialyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you:
www.lyme-aware.org/pennsylvania.html
www.lymepa.org

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com

Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
