I live in Ga, and there are no LLMD that i am aware of.

The last thing you want to do is see a "dr" that "treats" Lyme. You need a LLMD.

If i was you i would do what i posted in this thread.

I can give you the name of a ID (infectious disease) Dr in Ga in order to get Doxy prescribed if your physician will not prescribe it for you. She will only do 200mg a day, but it is better than nothing.

I WOULD NOT rely on this Dr. for treatment, but only for the Doxy prescription. She means well but she does not really understand Lyme and the proper treatment needed.

If you have no access to get Doxy, send me a PM and i will send you her info. Again though, do not stay as a patient of hers, as she only treats very conservatively.

None in GA ...

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/georgialyme

Maybe they can help.

I have a friend in TN that found a LLMD in Asheville, NC

Don't know where you are in GA, but it might be worth the trip

The drive might not be too bad, if you only have to go every 8 weeks or so, and Asheville is a fun place to spent a weekend.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for FL.

The bull's-eye rash is indicative of Lyme. You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

No LLMDs in GA - they are far and few between, unfortunately!

When you call for an appointment, ask if there are any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/georgialyme

Maybe they can help you.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups):

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

That's because it's a crapshoot at best. Who knows how much or for how long will "cure" it?

All I can just about guarantee you is that 7 days will not do it. The cycle of the spirochetes is 3-5 wks .. so you want to try to get all of them.
