Anyone know of any LLMDs in WV? I've been struggling with symptooms for almost two years and the only Lyme blood test was performed in ER and came back negative months ago.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for VA & MD. I don't know of any Lyme doctors in WV. You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment! Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this: "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance"http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/2/15615?#000005 Check the online state Lyme groups at:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/westvirginialyme Maybe they can help. Some more resources (including Support Group info):www.lyme-aware.org/west-virginia.html The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information. Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon. View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com

You might also contact NatCapLyme since you aren't that far from D.C. They have chapters in several states.http://www.natcaplyme.org/
