Hi there. I live in Sonoma County - but can travel a bit - and reaaallly cannot afford Dr. S, or most of the private pay drs here. I'm on disability, like most of us, and have Medicare/Medi-Cal.
I'm also supposed to see a neurologist in a couple of weeks - and have no idea if she's even open to the idea of Lyme - so if anyone knows of a LL neuro doc, I'd travel even farther for that. With someone else driving of course. Oh, I did hear of Dr. G in Ukiah - but he's not even accepting people for his waiting list.
Is there anyone in the North/East Bay? In the Sacramento/Davis area? Stanford would be traveling hell - but I'd try to get there. Thanks so much!
Thanks! Karrot

- I read your other post, too. You sound very well educated about this. Still, there are some things that I think will work their way out regarding the MRI, etc.
LymeDisease.org is based in your state. Join their on-line support . . . go back up to the RESOURCES link for doctor referrals, too.
You sound like you may have already talked with area lyme support groups. If not, they can be a wealth of information.
Money, ah, money! There may be some ways to figure out how to patch this together for a good assessment and diagnosis . . . and plan.
