My 5-year old daughter started presenting with bulls-eye rash yesterday. Pediatrician (not my fave) doesn't think it's Lyme. Thinks she just messed with mosquito bite, but it's a very pronounced bulls-eye. She had a blood test done today. Will have to wait for results
We live in northern VA, Vienna/Falls Church/Fairfax. But willing to travel for a good recommendation.

The bull's-eye rash is definitive for Lyme. DO NOT wait for any test results.
If your useless pediatrician will not give your dear daughter antibiotics, then run, do not walk, to an Immediate Care Clinic and get some!! Time is of the essence!!
She needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are. You're very lucky - there is a good one right there in Fairfax!
Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
