Welcome to LymeNet (though, really sorry for why you are here . . . hope you find what you need).

I have family in your state (they are not affected by lyme, though) but I keep my eyes open. Last I was aware not too long ago, there is no LLMD in Delaware.

However, there is a very good group not far from you. Connect with them for your options. Good luck.

Lyme Disease Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania

April 15, 2015 - THIS Wednesday

7:00 to 9:00 PM

At the Kennett Friends Meeting, Route 82 in Kennett Square, PA

Guest Speaker at this meeting. His presentation is titled “SLICE III: An in depth evaluation of patients with Chronic Lyme Disease.“

More detail on this - and many reference tabs at the link above.

Do not let the title of the presentation keep you away. You can meet others and also avoid some of the pitfalls that can contribute to chronic lyme, if you are new to all this.

Good luck.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for PA & MD.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are. None in Delaware.

Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=025539;p=0

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PennsylvaniaLyme/info

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups info):

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
