Went to an infectious disease doc who was referred to me and was told he treats lyme patients. NOT. His specialty is HIV, staph, bone and surgery germs but NO lyme. He listened to me for over half an hour , shook my hand and said I never had lyme or if I did the antibiotics I took got rid of it. I must have what my other docs have said, mixed connective tissue disease. VERY frustrated and angry.

Unfortunately, yours is a common experience with those who are ill with Lyme and co-infections. Stay away from Infectious Disease doctors!

I don't have any names in the UP. The MI Lyme Support Groups would know better.
