If anyone knows of any doctors in New Jersey, New York or Pennsylvania please let me know. I have been struggling for over a year and finally got a doctor to send my blood to igenex. It's gotten to a point where I am so so scared for my life. If anyone knows any LLMD's in this area please let me know thank you !

Also those of you that are struggling? Is there hope? Has anyone actually truly gotten better from this disease? I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth fighting for... My life was so beautiful before this. It's so scary. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi - I moved your post to Seeking for referrals. I suggest that you start another post in General Support to discuss your questions with folks here, re their progress, and your concerns. Answer is yes - we can feel better with good treatment!

Also, if you type up a new post there, please separate your writing into 1-3 lines at a time for easier reading for many here with vision challenges.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for PA & MD.

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment! It is possible to get better under the care of a LLMD with the right treatment.

Read this link from Lymenet about "Progress and Success Stories":

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=015820;p=0

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Here is a link for them:

http://www.lymenet.org/BurrGuide200810.pdf

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.

Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=025539;p=0

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NewJerseyLyme/info

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources (including Support Groups info):
www.lyme-aware.org/new-jersey.html

http://www.lymenet.org/SupportGroups/UnitedStates/NewJersey/

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.

View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com

Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.

To do this, click on the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.

For uplifting, encouraging, life-changing music, listen to KLOVE (FM radio). You can listen anytime online by clicking on "Listen Online" on their homepage (upper-right hand side) or you can find a station near you by going to "Find a Radio Station" under the photo/video on the homepage.

Your life most certainly matters, After all, you are "fearfully and wonderfully made."

Prayers and blessings to/for you on your healing journey.
